circa 1900, 29in. heavy nitro reproved (in 2022) fluted barrel with matted sight flat, the first third of the barrel with railed sight flat, ramp-mounted blade fore-sight, adjustable notch rear sight, plain Martini-type drop-ramp action, very slight traces of colour, complex finger-spurred triggerguard bow forming the underlever, double set-triggers, walnut butt-stock with cheekpiece, the right side with inlaid brass escutcheon signed 'J. BAR. AMRISWELL.', Swiss-style heel plate, splinter fore-end, 12 3/4in. pull, leather sling, weight 11lb. 2oz.
